What Happened?

Police say that a vehicle was traveling northbound I-35 when they were struck in the rear of their vehicle by a FedEx truck. Police say that Christian Vasquez and Christopher Talamantez, the occupants of the vehicle may have abruptly braked after missing an exit, at which point the delivery truck hit the rear of their vehicle.

We reserve the right to choose which statements are published and which are not published. Though we generally frown on censoring statements that witnesses submit to this site, we will not post statements that we have reason to suspect are not genuine, are unnecessarily offensive, or otherwise do not contribute to the stated goal of this site. For instance, if a truck accident were to occur and we have reason to suspect that someone from the trucking company is posing as a witness in order to provide fake information about the accident, we would not choose to publish that information.

However, we can only go by the context clues available at a cursory glance, so we are also not liable for the content provided by visitors to this site. We'll use our best judgment, but we make no claims as to the veracity of the statements provided by users of this site.

There are certain circumstances whereby we may have to provide a witness's contact and identifying information to someone who requests it, despite our general position that we prefer not to. If, for instance, an accident victim hires an attorney and that attorney asks us to provide them with contact information for a witness who left a statement on our site, we will likely reach out to the witness ourselves and ask their permission to provide their contact info to the victim's attorney, rather than simply handing the information over. But, should the victim's lawyer have a court order commanding us to make the information available, then, of course, we are bound to comply. The same may be true of law enforcement under certain circumstances. Again, though, our general position is not to make witness information available when practicable.
